Never been to Cuba but only ever heard really good things about it.
The relationship between them and the US is pretty amicable now so i reckon there should be good transport links?

Indeed. Its the Cuba bit I was trying to get some additional assistance. Is it now possible to fly the minute distance between Cuba and the USA? Are there better routes than others? Historically I've had to go via Cancoun.
